Seattle Dinner Places
Capitol Hill:
Quinn’s – http://quinnspubseattle.com/
Really good beer selection and the food is great as well! They have beer o’clock from 3-5p which is half off drafts. They don’t take reservations but getting a seat doesn’t usually take too long.
Beef Tartare
Wild Boar Sloppy Joe
Foie Gras Frites
Ultimate Burger
Warm Brownie & Peanut Caramel
Peppermint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Fremont:
Whale Wins – http://www.thewhalewins.com/
One of Renee Erickson’s restaurants that features a wood-fired menu and heavy on Pacific Northwest products. Has been on many lists of the best new restaurants, etc. They do take a limited amount of reservations each night.
Painted Hills Cote De Boeuf
Painted Hills Marrow Bones
Lamb Tartare
Seal Wolf & Columbia City Bakery Bread & Butter
Carlton Farms Roasted Pork Shoulder
Revel – http://www.revelseattle.com/
The second of Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi’s restaurants. It’s a casual Korean-French fusion restaurant. I like the laid back atmosphere of Revel a little bit more than Joule, which is below. The food also reflects the casual atmosphere as well. The noodle bowl and rice bowls just have a great combination of flavors and ingredients that creates deliciousness
Dungeness Crab Noodle
Short Rib Rice
Cara Cara Shortcake
Joule – http://www.joulerestaurant.com/
The first of Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi’s restaurants. It’s a Korean inspired French restaurant. The food is still really good but I prefer Revel over Joule. Now if you really want to go all out…there’s nothing wrong with the Whale Wins/Joule Daily Double since the restaurants are next door to each other…
Duck Pastrami Fried Rice
Kalbi Burger
Hazelnut Cake
Downtown:
Radiator Whiskey – http://www.radiatorwhiskey.com/
Located in Pike Place Market, across from the clock, this place offers upscale bar food with an emphasis on the pig. Rich and salty, it gives a great balance to all the whiskey you’ll be drinking. For its location and size, your check will be quite affordable at the end of the night (assuming you don’t go overboard on the drinking). Seating is pretty easy to obtain when they open at 4p but wait times can reach into a couple of hours during peak evening hours.
Tater Tots
Fried Beef Lip Terrine
Debris Sandwich
Fried Pork Shank
Debris Ice Cream Sandwich
International District:
Tsukushinbo
Small, cozy restaurant in the old Nihonmachi. Difficult to find since there are no signs that indicate it’s there. Reservations are a must. The sushi is delicious however and well worth any wait.
Sushi
Spider Roll
Sashimi
Fried Oysters
Maneki’s – http://www.manekirestaurant.com/
It’s been around for over 100 years. Reservations are a must, especially on the weekends. For sushi and Japanese food, the prices are ridiculously cheap. It’s a Seattle institution.
West Seattle:
Ma’ono – http://maono.springhillnorthwest.com/
Hawaiian inspired fusion restaurant with great fried chicken. There’s a fusion aspect on many of the menu items. One of the best and most intriguing items is the popcorn ice cream. Don’t knock it until you try it!
Spam Musubi
Garlic Green Beans & Watercress
Fried Chicken
Kalua Pig Tacos
Portuguese Sausage
Loco Moco
Fatty Saimin
Popcorn Ice Cream
